Movement to Work Programme

BREAK THE VICIOUS 'NO JOB – NO EXPERIENCE' CYCLE THAT IS PREVENTING YOUNG PEOPLE

MOVEMENT TO WORK PROGRAMME (MTW)

Movement to Work operates in a world of opportunity and seeks to break the vicious ‘no job – no experience’ cycle that is preventing young people, not currently in education, employment or training, from stepping onto the career ladder. By supporting organisations in providing quality vocational employment and work placement opportunities, Movement to Work helps to drive both business performance and bring about lasting social change.

The Launch Group has worked with multiple Movement to Work employer partners since 2014, such as BAE Systems, Sage, Northumbrian Water, Veolia and United Utilities. We support our employer partners by project managing the programme, leading on designing a programme timetable and classroom content, marketing the programme opportunities and recruiting the participants on to programme via trusted local referral partners and outreach organisations. In most cases, the programmes include work experience and access to employment opportunities across a wide range of job roles.
Through our approved network of training providers and youth outreach organisations, we can link unemployed young people with employers. By equipping organisations with the tools to successfully deliver a vocational employment or work experience programme, we ensure that the next generation of talent is being provided with the skills to succeed, positively impacting business performance and driving social good.
Movement to Work has a strong relationship with government and we are actively working in partnership with government departments and offer a collective voice on matters of policy. Recent involvement has been the Apprenticeship Levy and Kickstart. Movement to Work we have recently celebrated over 100,000 placements with over 55% of young people progressing into jobs, apprenticeships or returning to education.
MtW has a network of organisations that shares best practice and drives innovation. Our online forums for learning draw on the diverse experiences of our members and pioneers across the sector to maximise positive outcomes. Our partner network provides organisations with direction and expertise for effective methods of sourcing talent and placement delivery models.
